CASEY LYON
Casey Lyon is a dedicated and influential figure in water polo, with a career marked by notable achievements and a strong commitment to the sport.
Casey’s journey in water polo began at Golden West High School, where his exceptional talent earned him All-American recognition in 1992. His prowess continued to shine at Cuesta College from 1992 to 1995, where he excelled in both water polo and swimming. His freshman year was particularly distinguished as he was selected for the Junior National travel team, highlighting his potential on a national level.
In 2018, Casey took his passion for water polo to the next level by helping to establish the water polo program at Pacific Grove High School. Despite facing challenges, including a tough first year and the disruption of the COVID-19 pandemic, the team persevered. Their hard work paid off as they won their league title the following year and qualified for their first CCS (Central Coast Section) tournament last season. Under Casey's guidance, the program continues to grow and thrive.
In 2024, Casey expanded his impact on the sport by continuing to coach at the club level for the MBU team, further demonstrating his commitment to fostering the next generation of water polo talent.
